Daniel Ward: For Life
This compelling mini-documentary spotlights Health and Exercise Science alumnus Daniel Ward ('03), capturing his inspirational journey from first-generation college student to successful fitness entrepreneur. As the inaugural feature in our refreshed alumni series "For Life" (formerly "Legacies"), this piece celebrates Ward's perseverance and dedication to promoting health and wellbeing through his company, Inward Fitness.
Working alongside Assistant Director of Communications Avery Martin, who provided creative direction as executive producer, I served as primary editor for this project while collaborating on filming and interview production. Our documentary approach weaves together Ward's personal narrative with his professional mission, highlighting how his CSU experience continues to inform his work advancing health in his community.
"For Life" represents our strategic refresh of the College of Health and Human Sciences' alumni storytelling approach, creating deeper connections between current students and graduates who embody our mission. Through intimate cinematography and authentic storytelling, we showcase how our alumni continue to live the CHHS mission beyond graduation—promoting health and wellbeing for individuals and communities.
CSU Fashion Show: Walk the Kaleidoscope
This high-energy production captures the artistic culmination of Colorado State University's apparel and merchandising seniors at their 2024 capstone showcase, "Walk the Kaleidoscope." Serving as executive producer, lead cinematographer, and project coordinator, I leveraged advanced technical capabilities to document this dynamic event with precision and visual flair. Through deliberate camera movement, meticulous composition, and strategic editing, the video preserves the creativity and craftsmanship of student designers while conveying the excitement of live fashion presentation. This piece demonstrates my ability to manage complex production elements while executing sophisticated visual storytelling in a fast-paced environment.
Presidential Fashion Spotlights
These two dynamic videos showcase CSU President Amy Parsons' engagement with the Department of Design and Merchandising's fashion initiatives. The first captures her participation in the annual student Fashion Show alongside 17 capstone collections before a packed audience of industry professionals. The second highlights her unveiling of custom garments featuring Ajay Li's "Rams Timeless Tartan," celebrating the pattern's 11th anniversary during key university events.
As lead cinematographer and editor, I crafted these videos to seamlessly integrate with broader multimedia packages while maintaining visual consistency and presidential messaging. Working directly with the President's team, I balanced technical excellence with strategic storytelling to create polished content that elevated both the fashion program's reputation and presidential communications.

This powerful documentary captures the essence of CSU's RAM Scholars Program, showcasing how adults with intellectual disabilities access meaningful higher education opportunities. Filmed in a single day with executive producer Avery Martin, this piece represents the heart of my storytelling approach—authentic narratives that highlight transformative human experiences.
As primary cinematographer and editor, I crafted a visual story that honors participants' experiences while illustrating the collaborative spirit between the Center for Community Partnerships, Prevention Research Center, and College of Agricultural Sciences. Through thoughtful composition and sensitive editing, the video illuminates the program's impact on individuals and the university community alike. This piece exemplifies my commitment to storytelling that elevates important initiatives and amplifies diverse voices with dignity and respect.
